Sharing Land to Grow Food

Calling Food Growers and Land Owners! Join Our Land Sharing Adventure!

Are you passionate about cultivating fresh, homegrown produce? Ever dreamt of being part of a community initiative that brings together landowners and aspiring food growers? If you're nodding your head, we've got an opportunity for you!

Introducing the Land Sharing for Food Growing Project – an innovative endeavour supported by Whāingaroa Envrironment Centre aimed at bridging the gap between individuals who possess land and those with a green thumb keen to grow food.

What's Land Sharing? It's a way to connect underused backyards or plots of land with folk who are eager to transform them into food gardens. Think of renters unable to garden, seniors seeking a hand in maintaining their outdoor spaces, or anyone eager to cultivate, share, and promote sustainable living.

Who We're Looking For

  • Landowners who are willing to share their land

  • Food growers who haven’t access to land.

  • We are looking for small scale urban examples through to spaces and people who want to grow in bulk.

We want to connect people together and provide some support to help make this vison happen.
