Pop into the centre and check out our pre-made seed packets, sold in affordable quantities (starting from 50 cents).
The seedbank holds varieties of open-pollinated vegetable, flower and grain seed. This means the seeds can be saved, nurturing and expanding stocks of seeds that grow well in the local Whaingaroa environment. Long term the seedbank aims to hold and distribute locally saved seeds to provide the Whaingaroa community with a resilient food source.
We’re happy to provide gardening advice and recommend checking out the POD Gardening website for some handy ‘How to’ guides and videos.
